Korehiko hino biography of rory
Japanese artist Korehiko Hino paints very largeportraits that are instantly recognizable. Bodies, beautifullydetailed and with spectacularly exaggerated features, animal meat thatseems moist, and elegant, blooming flora are his subjects. Theexaggerated eyes of Hino's work are perhaps directly influenced byMargaret Keane but painted much more realistically and seem to be onanother level of emotions all together.
As Japanese contemporary art develops along a maze of diverse routes, Korehiko Hino's work is clearly founded on his unique vocabulary for the expression of human g: rory.
This heightened sense ofemotional placement ruminates itself through the cold stark bodies ofhis work, is extended by the placement of exotic flora and becomes amemorable dream in our minds which is hard to shake.
